Illustrator John Holmes

John Holmes was an English illustrator best known for the cover he designed for The Female Eunuch by Germaine Greer. For fans of H.P. Lovecraft, he's highly regarded as the cover artist for the Ballantine Paperbacks of H.P. Lovecraft Tales of Cthulhu Books.

One of my favorites is the cover from Tales of Cthulhu Volume 2 Ballantine Paperback from 1973. It features a freaked out chap with snakes crawling through his head. That edition is available now on our store. So go nab it before it's gone!
